The Martha Reed Foundation puts on this annual fundraiser at Bob's Tavern on South 1st Street in downtown Shelton, combining an open chowder competition with a live auction of donated items. Anyone who makes a good chowder is invited to compete, and everyone else is invited to taste and vote with a beer in hand. The foundation posts auction lots to the Facebook event as they are confirmed, so it is worth checking back in the weeks ahead. The room is 21 and over. Eighty-five responses make this one of the biggest community turnouts on the November calendar.
