At the Old Timers Historical Fair you can find fun for the whole family.
Enjoy live music, delicious food (especially the amazing homemade pies!!!), historical displays, a variety of crafts and even an exhibit of working (and not) WWII vehicles.
The fair celebrates Matlock heritage in timber industry, draft horses, early day machines and motors, blacksmithing, antique booths, kids activities, handcraft items, historical events, agricultural events, food, fire wood raffle, prizes, and live music.
Be sure to stop at the Tornow booth at the event next to the main stage. This is the story an "Unsolved mystery," a century later. “Victim or Villain?” is the true story of events a century old. John Tornow lived in the Matlock area and his memory lives on in the nearby museum and in a book available for purchase on site. The Matlock Historical Museum will be open that weekend as well with plenty of historical exhibits.
Other attractions include kids train rides, a giant slide, tractor pulls, plant and starter vegetable sale, crafts and antique booths, antique and classic cars, tractors and steam engines.
New this year is a corn hole championship and a Dinner Saturday night. The meal is pulled pork and the cost is $15. There are also silent auctions on site.
The Fair runs Saturday from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM and Sunday 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM
