Sawdust Arts Festival

  • Fjord Oyster Bank 24341 U.S. 101 Hoodsport, WA, 98548 United States (map)

Sawdust Arts Festival is a community-wide celebration of local artists, artisans, and performers, bringing together creativity, heritage, and small-town energy in the heart of Hood Canal. The festival features galleries, hands-on workshops, live music, and performances, all designed to highlight the region’s creative spirit and deep connection to its timber roots.

The event also marks the launch of the Mason County Forest Festival, blending arts and culture with the traditions that helped shape the area. Festival-goers can expect appearances by Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox, the Forest Festival Royalty Court, interactive timber-themed activities, and opportunities to engage directly with local makers and craftspeople.

Beyond the art, Sawdust Arts Festival encourages visitors to explore downtown, support local businesses, and connect with the community through shared experiences. A community BBQ and after-hours events round out the day, making it a full celebration of creativity, history, and place along the Hood Canal.
