Guided Forest Walk at Twanoh State Park invites participants to explore the natural and cultural history of the Twanoh Creek loop trail. This guided walk follows the 2.5-mile loop through a mature forest shaped by logging more than a century ago, where springboard cedar stumps still tell the story of early timber harvests.
Along the trail, participants can expect to see a variety of native plants, including rhododendron, cedar, fir, and evergreen huckleberry, while learning about forest recovery and local ecology. The walk is paced for observation and discussion, making it a good fit for anyone interested in native plants, forest history, and seasonal changes.
Carpooling is available for those who need it. A Discover Pass is required to participate.
