Description: Beast of Big Creek returns to the steep trails of Mount Elinor on the Olympic Peninsula for its 17th year — and 2026 marks a major milestone: for the first time, the event joins the Merrell Skyrunner World Series, drawing elite mountain runners from around the globe to the Pacific Northwest. Two race options are available: the Skyrace (24km/15mi, 5,300 ft gain) on Saturday, and the Forest Loop (15km/9mi, 1,200 ft gain) on Sunday. Both races take place on Mount Elinor above Lake Cushman. Registration is open now; prices start at $60 for the Forest Loop and $120 for the Skyrace, plus platform fees.
