DESCRIPTION The Great Bend Center for Music presents an afternoon concert celebrating the Second Boston School — a wave of American composers at the turn of the 20th century who blended European Romanticism with a distinctly American spirit. The program features George Whitefield Chadwick's String Quartet No. 4 alongside three works by Amy Beach, the first successful woman composer of large-scale art music in the United States.
