Marmo in downtown Shelton hosts its monthly Poetry Open Mic, this month with Lauren Davis as featured reader. Davis is the author of the short story collection The Nothing (YesYes Books, 2025) and poetry collections Home Beneath the Church and When I Drowned, with work appearing in Prairie Schooner, Poet Lore, Ninth Letter, and other publications. Open mic participants may read poetry, short prose, or fiction within a suggested five-minute limit. Slots are limited and filled first-come, first-served — arrive early to sign up.
