The game is run by Kim McCartney, Ray Grant and the Darkwood Nights LARP team, who set it in the World of Darkness — a setting where the supernatural creatures of legend genuinely walk among humans, some of them passing as people. Players spend the weekend in character in the forest rather than at a table, and the system leans toward physical combat. Registration, rules, character creation and pricing all run through the organizers' Linktree rather than Facebook.
