This is the annual fundraiser of the Martha Reed Foundation, a Mason County nonprofit that raises money for local families in need, and proceeds this year benefit the McClanahan family. Anyone who thinks they make a good chowder is invited to enter the cook-off; everyone else is there to taste, drink and bid. The auction lots are being announced on the event page in the run-up. The venue is twenty-one and over.
