Capitol Land Trust hosts this walk on its Bayshore property outside Shelton, where restored estuary edges, second-growth forest and old fairway meadows together produce an unusually wide range of fruiting bodies for a single site. The emphasis falls on identification and ecology rather than harvesting, so plan on learning rather than filling a basket. Soft, wet footing is close to certain in mid-November and boots are the right call.
