Guide Jerry Novak leads this walking tour through Olympic National Forest, covering identification of edible and non-edible species, sustainable harvesting practices, the rules governing foraging on public land, and how to make a spore print. Foraging time is built into the tail end of the walk so participants can try the skills out directly. Baskets are available for purchase in the shop for anyone who arrives without one. The company offers this tour from October into early December, and private tours can be arranged for groups of six or more.
