Capitol Land Trust runs its Second Saturdays series at Bayshore Preserve, the restored estuary and former golf course at the head of Oakland Bay on State Route 3. This October session concentrates on field identification of sign left by the property's resident mammals and birds, with time spent along the shoreline and in the transition zones where activity clusters. Expect uneven and sometimes wet ground, and dress for standing still outdoors in fall weather.
