Hood Canal ShrimpFest

  • 303375 U.S. 101 Brinnon, WA 98320 United States (map)

The Brinnon ShrimpFest is a weekend festival celebrating Hood Canal Spot Shrimp and other local seafood. We feature craft booths, food booths, belt sander races, exhibits, live music, kids activities and so much more. Bring along your favorite decorated belt sander to enter the races that will be held at 11:00 am Saturday. The tides are usually low enough during this weekend for easy harvest of clams and oysters on the public beaches near the festival, (license required) and the weather is traditionally good during this holiday weekend. This is great family fun! Come join us this year. ShrimpFest is located between the Yelvik General store and the Cove RV Park & Country Store, 303375 U.S. 101, Brinnon, WA 98320. Proceeds from ShrimpFest will be donated to community projects.

The festival began in 1993 and is put on yearly by The Emerald Towns Alliance (ETA) which is a Non-profit Corporation that was formed to assist our community by repairing, constructing or by making modifications to public facilities, and providing or enhancing community services in the Brinnon and Quilcene areas of Hood Canal. Over the years, the proceeds have benefited our community through donations to the Brinnon School and the Brinnon Volunteer Ambulance & Firefighters Association, Brinnon and Quilcene Community Centers as well as many other community projects.

The dates for 2015 are May 23th and May 24th. We will begin sending out applications for craft and food vendors in December/January. The application can also be found by clicking on the "Vendor Resources" link at Emerald Towns Alliance. We would appreciate it if we could receive the applications as soon as possible, vendor selection begins March 1. The deadline for submitting your application is April 15th. If you submit your application after that date, we may still be able to fit you in but we strongly advise that vendors submit their application early. We'll confirm your booth space as soon after March 1. We reserve the right to reject vendors who would be selling duplicate products or products we feel would be unsuitable for the visitors to ShrimpFest.
