The Allyn Historic Church, built in 1909 and lovingly maintained, is available for rent for various community functions, including weddings. Boat launching and moorage facilities are available at the Allyn Pier, owned and operated by the Port of Allyn. The village offers a shopping center, three restaurants, a market and several small shops. The Allyn Community Association hosts the annual Allyn Days Festival & Salmon Bake on the third weekend of July at the Allyn Waterfront
Park. Starting at noon, volunteers from the ACA serve over 1,000 mouth-watering salmon dinners to their friends, families, neighbors and visitors. Above the town, you'll find the 27-hole LakeLand Village Golf Course. Playing at 9,000 yards, the course offers golfers numerous ponds, gaping bunkers and majestic views of the Olympics and Mount Rainier. Old Cedar Forge, an authentic, working forge housed in a cedar-sided shop full of blacksmithing equipment and hundreds of special tools, some dating back to the late 1800's and all are used daily. If you're in the area, Old Cedar Forge & Gallery is a must-see. Allyn is also home to the George Kenny School of Chainsaw Carving. Situated on State Highway 3 in the center of town, the school offers you the opportunity to watch professional and student chainsaw carvers in action and purchase their work from an extensive onsite gallery.
