Truman Glick Memorial Park

1291 West Ford Road, near Matlock
Covering 40 wooded acres, this beautiful park offers a picnic area, barbeque grills, a covered shelter and large grassy areas that work well for large groups. Visitors can wander the nature trails, including an arch bridge that crosses Decker Creek.

Foothills County Park

241 N. Hoodsport Park Road, Hoodsport
Tucked in the foothills of the Olympics, this 20-acre complex includes picnic and play areas, a ball field and restrooms. To get there from Highway 101 in Hoodsport, head west for 1 mile on Lake Cushman Road, go right on Foothills Park Road, and find the park on the left.

Lilliwaup Creek

Southwest of Eldon, on the Olympic Peninsula
Enjoy an afternoon in the shade and wade in the cool waters of Lilliwaup Creek at this remote forested campground. Water is available from a hand pump. To get there, start at U.S. 101 two miles south of Eldon. Turn west on Jorsted Creek Road (Forest Service Road 24), continuing for 7.2 miles. Keep an eye out for wildlife, as this area borders the Olympic National Forest.
