Celebrate the tideflats!
Every year Hama Hama Oysters welcomes the public to their beach to learn about oysters, oyster farming, and life in the Hood Canal, aquatic and otherwise. It's not the biggest seaside party in the world, but it might be the biggest subtidal one!
The Rama features tours with intertidal ecologists and oyster growers, u-pick oysters and clams, an oyster-sports competition called the Shuckathalon, a beer and wine garden, kid's activities including a marine touch tank, live music, and various delicious food options. Every year, the Rama benefits local Hood Canal charities.
A cooking competition has been added in recent years that lets you and your friends compete iron-chef style for the best baked and raw oyster dishes. Please check back for ticket sales.
