Description
Every year on the first full weekend in May, the little town of Matlock hosts the Old Timer's Fair at the Mary M. Knight School campus. Admission is free. Here you can find fun for the whole family.
Enjoy live music, delicious food, interesting displays, a variety of crafts and the featured exhibit of an authentic Civil War-era military camp. See a reproduction of a mountain-man camp with Dutch-oven cooking, expert horse backpacking encampments and black-powder shooting demonstrations. Other attractions include kids train rides, FFA plant and starter vegetable sale, antique and classic cars, tractors and steam engines.
Matlock is located about a 20 minute drive from the county seat, Shelton.
