I am Tourism Director at the Squaxin Island Tribe. My office is located inside of the Squaxin Island Museum Library & Resource Center. Of course, I am biased!
Take a look at their website! One of the most amazing exhibits is the discoveries of artifacts from Mud Bay. These include cedar gill nets over 500 years old, weavings and many other items. The 7 panels tell the story of the 7 bands of Indians that originate from the 7 inlets of South Puget Sound. You will learn about the Tribe’s culture and about each of these inlets.
The museum is called The Home of Sacred Belongings.
I just purchased a gorgeous piece of framed artwork at the Wildmaven Gallery in Belfair. Shhh! Hubby doesn’t know yet!) Every time I go in there, there are new things. Love it!
